A large German silver-mounted ivory tankard with Neptune and the Nereiads

Oval corpus carved with tritons on a round base with floral swags resting on anthemion feet. The curved ivory handle carved with a winged herm's head. The domed lid topped by a carved ivory group of female nudes and amoretti. H 47 cm.
With pseudomarks, circa 1900, the ivory group on the lid after David Heschler.
