A large Italian wall panel with ivory inlays

Large frame comprised of various hardwoods inlaid with ivory and a tin basin in the lower section. The central panel with a large bacchanalia scene, the framing elements carved with flowers and foliage in the Renaissance taste. Possibly originally used as a coat rack, with the holes in the upper section used for hooks. H 234, W 154, D 39 cm.
