A Renaissance bronze hand bell with the Annunciation

Bronze bell with blackish brown patina. Of tapering conical form with flat shoulder, the handle formed as two putti. Decorated with six angels and the Annunciation scene with a vase inscribed "AVE GRADIA PLENA" and above "VON GOT BOVEN AL". The lower rim inscribed "Ghegoten ing iaer MDLXIII". The iron clapper replaced in the 19th C., two brass repairs. H 14, D 9.2 cm.
Netherlands, dated 1563.
