The drama of death appears movingly simple in the smallest of spaces: a hemisphere with crossed lines of varying width accommodates a corpus. Koenig simulates a Sepulchre, a narrow early Christian burial place in the symbol of the cross with which the bones and human remains are buried. The thought of a personal epitaph is evident, an epitaph for the jacket pocket, as a constant reminder of the transience of earthly life.
