The sphere with pictorial writing in bronze and silver becomes a central motif and is placed in different contexts as Koenig's artistic form. Koenig covers spheres of different sizes with pictographs, sometimes also using the cut surfaces of halved hemispheres. These are figurative signs that the artist derives from the interrelation to his drawings miming playful, dance-like, and also combative sequences of movement. Koenig creates his notation by slurring concrete gestures and abstract mimes.
