Literature

The plates in Apsley house published in: Baer/Baer, The Pussian Service. The Duke of Wellington´s Berlin Dinner Service, Berlin 1989, no. 65-72 (illus. on the back cover). In contrast to the well known and spectacularly decorated dessert plates showing scenes from Wellington’s life and military career, the dinner décor of the dinner plates corresponds to that of the generals’ service. There were originally 100 dinner plates like this one and 36 soup plates.
