A Sorgenthal porcelain solitaire with snake-form handles

Comprising an oval tray with a snake forming the rim, two baluster-form covered jugs entwined with snakes, a sugar bowl formed as a kantharos, one teacup with a snake handle and one saucer. All pieces decorated with sunburst motifs in burnished gold. The tray centred by a depiction of a winged putti in a rhombus. Blue bindenschild mark, year letters 807 and 808, potter's mark P for Anton Payer and 39, etc. One lid replaced. Tray W 32.5, jug H 16.5 cm.
