An early Vienna porcelain cup and saucer with grotesques

Of cylindrical form with angular handle and original saucer. Decorated with bands of italianate landscapes in black camaieu on red ground and finely painted grotesques on black. Blue "bindenschild" mark, red 86., gilt 105, year number 80, dreher's number 39 for Ferdinand Ebenberger.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Konrad von Sorgenthal, fired 1780, painted by Josef Hinterberger and Johann Stelzig (gilt).
