A jewelled Amaranth pill box

Bombé form polished amaranth wood box, the convex lid set with a sugarloaf-cut sapphire (ca. 5.7 x 5.2 mm) and five tiny old-cut diamonds (in total ca. 0.40 ct, M/N, si). Studs of the mountings lost. H 2 cm. Diameter 4.5 cm.
Presumably Russian, circa 1900.
