Gouache on ivory. Presumably after a painting by Carl Christian Vogel von Vogelstein (1823). Portrait facing left in a white uniform with the order of the Golden Fleece and the star of the Royal Saxon order of the "Rautenkrone". In a gilt metal frame. A round scratch to the left edge. 4 x 3 cm. Frame 4.7 x 3.6 cm.

Prince Elector Friedrich August "the Just" of Saxony (Dresden 1750 - 1827) refused the hereditary kingship, but was later raised to King of Saxony and Duke of Warsaw in 1806.
