A 14k gold, silver and natural pearl brooch

Cluster set brooch with 26 cushion shaped old-cut diamonds (in total ca. 3.25 ct, K-L, vs-si) surrounding a natural bouton form pearl (ca. 8.65 - 9.03 x 7.85 mm). With a removable Baroque natural pearl droplet (ca. 9.50 - 11.00 x 19.15 mm) in a conical setting with rose-cut diamonds. Hallmarks: Vienna assay mark for 1867 - 72 (Neuwirth, pl. 6, 12). Brooch mountings replaced. Diameter 2.4 cm. Total H 4.7 cm. Total weight 13.91 g.

Gemstone assay report no. 028955 from 18.12.2018 by the DSEF, Idar Oberstein, confirms the two drilled pearls to be natural saltwater pearls. Examined in the setting.
