A glass beaker with a view of Dresden

Thinly-walled cylindrical glass with a black framed depiction of Dresden after a painting by Canaletto. With conjoined monogram AH.p. to the lower left, lower right "S. Mohn f. 1811." Ca. 12 mm ground down from the rim. H 7.5 cm.

For more on August Heinrich cf. v. Lichtenberg, Mohn & Kothgasser, Munich 2009, p. 212 ff. Paul v. Lichtenberg mentions a beaker with a view of Rome dated 1811 as the earliest transparent glass by August Heinrich, this beaker with a view of Dresden was made in the same year.
