A rare table Parisian centrepiece with Etruscan figures

Gilt and burnished bronze. Rectangular socle on four gilt pad feet, a caryatid figure at each corner supporting the oval central ring with four twisting branches. The central bowl (probably cut glass) and two decorative appliques lost, at least one drip pan replaced. H 39.5, socle W 27.5, D 17 cm.
Circa 1800 - 1810.
