A large Gothic cast iron mortar

Thick-walled conical vessel with stepped rim. Cast throughout with mouldings and ten ribs. The handles formed as dog's heads. H 30, D 38.4 cm. Weight ca. 37,0 kg. Including a corresponding iron pestle.
Italy, presumably 15th C.
