An Italian mortar with hunt motifs

Cast bronze with slightly mottled golden patina. Cast with two hunting scenes above mouldings, one with a deer hunt, the other with a wild boar and rabbit hunt in a forest. Dolphin handles. H 11.2, D 12.3 cm. Weight 2.1 kg. Including a later pestle.
