Two 17th century bronze figures of biblical characters, probably Northern Italy

Hollow cast in the round, the king with old patina.. Two dynamic Mannerist figures wearing richly draped robes with foliate decor. The first a king holding a staff and with a helmet at his feet, the second a bearded man with a book - the attribute in his right hand lacking. The figures most likely represent biblical characters.
The old patina of the figure with the book worn. Several minor losses. Height of each 34.5 cm.
