Cast bronze figures of a satyr and a nymph, France, 2nd half 18th century

Cast in the round and with old patina. Facing figures of a satyr and a nymph from the retinue of the god Dionysos playing a horn and a xylophone. Both wear long robes, lion's pelts and grapevine crowns, the satyr carries a wine flask, the nymph a basket of fruit.
Minimal wear. Mounted on a gilt marble plinth with brass appliques. Height of each 26.5 cm (without plinth).
