Two embroidered satin table frontals. 18th/19th century

a) In satin stitch with cranes and bats amidst clouds on a yellow (faded) ground, the upper valance stitched to the main panel. damaged, and b) in satin stitch and couched golden threads peonies, other flowers, butterflies and lobed shapes filled with various delicately embroidered motivs. Banners to the sides, fringes to the bottom border. Strong traces of use. (2)
