A lacquered and gilded wood figure of Monjû Bosatsu. Muromachi period

Seated in latitasana with one leg pendant, the right hand holding a scroll, the left hand resting on the knee. The eyes glass, the diadem on the head of gilt copper. On a large lotus above a pedestal consisting of clouds and panels with flower sprays and sayagata patterns. The mandorla of later date.
