A painted wood nô mask. 19th century

Zô onna type with regular features and smiling lips, single hairs falling in disorder along the sides of the face. On the reverse inscribed in gold with a genji-mon and the name "Zôhatsu onna" and a paper label with inscription reading "Hosei ... Kawachi saku Manshin" (the name of the carver). The repainting with cracks and flaking, the left side of the mask repaired.
