A large champlevé enamel vase. Second half 19th century

Of lozenge-shaped cross section with two bronze taotie masks to the shoulder and loose ring handles, the entire body decorated with nyoi-shaped panels filled with stylised flowers and other Chinese-style motifs on a light blue ground. Mark to the base reading Dai Nihon Yoshikawa zô Kyoto. Very minor losses to the enamel.
