A fine large bronze lidded pot. Late 19th century

With two ornamental handles on four dragon feet, the rounded body decorated with four mythological animals (dragon, minogame, phoenix and kirin) amidst clouds on a patterned ground, the lid surmounted by a monkey wearing a shishi mask and encircled by smaller playful monkeys (minor losses). Signed Ichijôken Joun with kaô at the base.
