A South German heraldic faience tankard

Decorated in blue and white with a large family coat of arms with acanthus scrolls, helmet and a demi-figure. The faience unmarked. The peter lid marked and engraved "J.Z. 1.6.9.8.". Restored, with chips to the lower rim. H with thumb rest 23.3 cm.
Attributed to Nuremberg, late 17th C., the pewter lid Regensburg, Martin Scherb (master since 1675).
