A Tokyo school ivory netsuke of Okame with a mask, by Hidechika. 19th century

Seated in a rich kimono, Okame suggestively holds the nose of a tengu mask in her lap. Detailed and very finely carved and engraved and with some dark staining. Signed Hidechika (Shûôsai) in a oblong, irregular reserve.
