An ivory netsuke of an oni crying on Rashomon’s arm. 18th century

Crying bitterly on Rashomon’s severed arm, his right hand held in front of his face and a rosary (ojuzu) in his left. A beautiful, matt sheen, partly amber-coloured glossy patina.
Length 6.6 cm
