Count Pyotr Alexandrovich Rumyantsev-Zadunaisky (1725 - 1796) was supreme commander of the Russian army during the Ottoman Wars in 1770. He led his troops to victory in the great battles of Larga and Kagula and signed the peace treaty of Küçük Kaynarca on 21st July 1774. In the wake of this, Tzarina Catherine II appointed him field marshal and he presumably received the service, ordered from Meissen in 1774, on occasion of this promotion along with the land and title.
