A Meissen porcelain slop bowl, cup and saucer from a heraldic service

Finely painted with naturalistic flowerheads and a purple-rimmed mosaic pattern border. The arms of alliance set within two gilt rocaille cartouches beneath a crown. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's numbers. H bowl 8.6, D 16.6 cm.
Circa 1760, presumably for a Prussian patron.

Bowl: Sotheby's New York, 27th April 1984, lot 156, Christie's London, 13th March 1989, lot 173, the coat of arms there listed as that of "Hartoff of Hanover and Bytone of Prussia".
Cup and saucer aquired from Heinz Reichert, Munich.
