A Silesian glass goblet with the Ansbach coat of arms and a stag hunt

Round base with angular cut rim supporting a column shaft with a faceted pommel and tapering cuppa issuing from cut palmettes. Decorated with a large coat of arms and a deer hunting scene in a rocaille surround on the reverse. Minor rim chips, two horizontal lines engraved above the hunting scene (presumably production flaws).
Schreiberhau/Szklarska Poreba, mid-18th C., the cut decor attributed to Christian Gottfried or Samuel Schneider.

The coat of arms can be identified as either that of Margrave Karl Wilhelm Friedrich von Brandenburg-Ansbach (1712 - 1757) or his son Christian Friedrich Carl Alexander (1736 - 1806).
