A pair of Meissen porcelain beakers and covers with military scenes

Oblong tray with moulded angles upon which stand two tapering beakers with original lids. Painted with nine scenes of soldiers in the Seven Years' War. The well of the tray with Prussian soldiers running the gauntlet. With small bouquets of naturalistic flowers, the rims picked out in purple. Blue crossed swords mark, incised dreher's number 6. (the beakers). W stand 21, D 15.1 cm.
C. 1760, decor attributed to Andreas Philipp Oettner.
