A Shri Lanka solid cast bronze figure of Samadhi Buddha. Anuradhapura period, 9th/10th century

Seated in mediation on a flat base, both hands in dhyana mudra, the head covered by circular locks topped by a flame ornament (siraspata), the sanghati is rendered by incised lines. Wooden stand.
