A lacquered and gilt Shisou style bronze figure of Guanyin. 17th century

Standing bent elegantly to the side with her hands stuck into the wide sleeves, underneath the flacking lacquer coating the whole garment is covered with lotus flowers and scrolls in fine silver wire inlay in the style of Yutang Shisou, the cloth placed over her head is lacquered red.
