A Tibetan gilt bronze figure of Vajradhara. 17th/18th century

Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus throne with beaded edges, his hands crossed before his chest holding a vajra and ghanta in his hands, wearing a flowing scarf around his shoulders and a dhoti, richly adorned with a crown, heavy earrings inlaid with glass stones, necklaces and bracelets, The hair piled high to a chignon surmounted with a vajra-tipped finial.
