A cast iron medallion commemorating General Field Marshall Blücher

Black patinated cast iron. A Neoclassical style portrait of the general in the pelt of the Nemean lion, surrounded by the inscription “Dem Fürsten Blücher von Wahlstatt die Bürger Berlins im Jahr 1816”. With a depiction of Archangel Michael on the reverse, the frame dated 1813, 1815 and 1814. Signed "Schinkel Inv:" and "König fec:" D 8 cm.
