A Berlin KPM porcelain Easter egg with the Berlin Museum

Porcelain egg decorated with a view of the “New Museum” and the granite bowl in a gilt surround, labelled on the reverse. H 5.8 cm.
Circa/after 1831.

The New Museum, today known as the Old Museum, with its imposing colonnade facade facing the Lustgarten was built between 1825 and 1830 by Karl Friedrich Schinkel at the king's request.
