An 18k gold ring with a Roman intaglio

18 kt Gelbgold. Set with an oval white and brown layered agate intaglio (16.1 x 12.6 mm) carved with a gryllos with the head of an eagle and the paws of a lion holding Hercules' club, a bundle of lightning bolts and letter symbols. A crack to the edge of the agate with a small breakage on the reverse. Ring size 55. Weight 6.61 g.
