A 21k gold ring with a Roman intaglio

21 kt Gelbgold. Ring with a thick cast gold band in the style of antiquity set with a raised octagonal carnelian plaque (12.1 x 15.9 mm) carved with a winged figure of Eros leading a lion with a whip and a palm frond. The edges of the agate chipped. The edges of the ring bezel slightly warped. Ring size 53. Weight 21.25 g.
