A small Hachmann mortar with an eagle coat-of-arms

Golden brown cast bronze with dark brown patina. The display side decorated with a coat-of-arms engraved with a double-headed eagle and a a star supported by winged demi-figures. With two wide banderoles below the rim and above the base inscribed in Gothic minuscule: “int iaer ons heren m vc lxxv” and “myn hape steit allein in godt”. With two zoomorphic handles. Some hairline cracks around the lower section, some dents and minor abrasions. H 12.5, D 13.5, weight 2.3 kg.
