5 film spools, coated with varnish, galvinized and copper-plated. Original cinema prints of the 1962 film of the same name by Ingmar Bergman. Each Ø 38 cm and height approx. 4 cm. All film reels with metal plaque embossed with "JOSEPH BEUYS DAS SCHWEIGEN" and consecutively numbered from 1-5 and with the respective subtitles. Film reel 1 with additional metal plaque, there with edition details and numbering. Numbered 4/50 (+10 H.C.). With original film box approx. 22 x 44 x 44 cm (with traces of use). Edition René Block, Berlin and Edition Multiples, New York. - Material-related traces of age.
Contrary to Schellmann, fourth edition 1977, the film box in which the object was supplied is not an integral part of the edition (according to Schellmann 1992).
