A Nuremberg silver gilt tankard

Slightly tapering vessel on a thick basal ring. Decorated with finely engraved flowers and raised gadroons. The domed lid with corresponding decor and a model of a swan as a finial. The thumbrest and handle with cherub's heads. H 18 cm, weight 552 g.
Marks of Thomas II Stör, circa 1630 - 50.
