An 18th century Austrian carved wood crucifix

The Corpus and skull carved in the round from boxwood, the plinth pearwood. A delicate figure of Christ crucified with three nails and with the original skull at the base of the cross. Mounted on a tall plinth decorated with scrolls and rocaille motifs.
With a vertical hairline crack running down the side of Christ's neck, otherwise in good condition. The INRI plaque presumably associated. Corpus height 19 cm. Width of arms 13 cm. Total height 54 cm.
