A Meissen porcelain lidded cup and saucer as a friendship token

Painted with a depiction of an urn on a column in a wooded landscape, reminiscent of the funeral monument of Jean-Jacques Rousseau in Ermenonville, the well of the saucer inscribed "Unsere Freundschaft währe bis dahin" (may our friendship last until then). Blue crossed swords mark with star and 4 (cup), dreher's mark. H with lid 9.2, D of saucer 13.8 cm.
