A Berlin KPM porcelain krater vase with "faux marbre" decor

Model no. 1005, "Redensche Vase" no. 1. Sumptuously decorated with gilt ivy tendrils, stylised flowerheads and grapevines on coloured ground, with two borders painted to resemble green stone and gilt edged vermicelli. Blue sceptre mark, incised "4 I 34". The shaft and two edges of the base restored over breakages, gilding retouched in areas. H 28.5, D 22.5 cm.
Before 1823, model produced 1799.
