Miniature Berlin silver timpani of the 1st Brandenburg Dragoon Regiment No. 2

Miniature depiction of a drum made as a gift for an officer. Octagonal drum on three paw feet with crossed drumsticks, decorated with the Prussian eagle, orb and sceptre in relief and the monogram FWR beneath the royal crown. Above it a ribbon engraved with the names of 31 officers of the regiment, including "Maj. v. Blumenthal", "Sek. Lt. Grf. v. Hardenberg", "Grf. v. d. Schulenburg", "Grf. v. Bismarck", "Grf. v. Schwerin". The drumsticks replaced. H 8.8; D 11 cm; weight 297 g.
Marks of Johann Wagner & Sohn, around 1900.

The 1st Brandenburg Dragoon Regiment no. 2 was stationed in Schwedt in Brandenburg from 1763 to 1937.
