An Augsburg silver gilt travel service in a fitted case
Comprising an ecuelle and stand, vermeil-mounted drinking glass, egg cup, spice cruet, knife, fork, spoon and marrow spoon. Decorated with small repoussé medallions and strapwork. The lid of the ecuelle can be used as a dish. The spice cruet contains two separate compartments. In a rectangular leather covered box with new red velvet lined fittings. The knife, fork and spoon with later monogram "O.A.". D stand 22.2 cm; H ecuelle 6.8; W 20.3; D 13.1 cm. Total weight 773 g. Egg cup and cruet each c. 71 g. H of case 17; W 35; D 28 cm.
