A rare Delftware Chinoiserie plaque
Rocaille-form plaque hung with swags surrounding a central oval reserve painted with a depiction of a scholar and a songbird, below it a putto flanked by pheasants and cherry blossom sprigs. With hanging holes in the upper section. Unmarked. Minor glaze chips, slightly warped due to firing. H 28.6 cm.
