A pair of rare Derby porcelain candlesticks with birds

Porzellan (soft-paste porcelain), farbiger Aufglasurdekor, Vergoldung. Chambersticks made from soft-paste porcelain. The shafts surrounded by flowering tendrils in which perch two pairs of birds. The drip pans formed as acanthus leaves. Unglazed unmarked bases. Firing cracks and chips, some localised restorations. H 23.5 and 24.3 cm.
