Carved in the round, the reverse of the figure only summarily worked, the lower half of the throne deeply hollowed out. With remnants of older polychromy. A fragmentary Anna Selbdritt depiction, lacking the figure of the Christ Child held by the young Mary which would originally have formed its centre. Despite this loss, at 25 cm in depth, the figure still commands a considerable sculptural presence.
Anna's right arm, Mary's left arm and Her separately attached right hand lost. Anna's left hand with a breakage. The plinth restored. Insect damage and wear throughout. Height 62 cm.
