A Bayon-style or Lobpuri-style sandstone figure of a female deity, possibly Uma. Cambodia or Thailand. 12th/13th century

Standing on a small rectangular base with a thick tang, and wearing a skirt with a pattern of four-petalled flowers in regular rows. The face with finely drawn open eyes underneath softly modelled brows and a wide mouth with a faint smile. Hair tresses cover the head while the chignon is covered by a cap with four rows of petals. Hangings adorne both ears. Stand.
