A lacquered bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni. 17th/18th century

Seated in meditation on a double lotus throne, both hands in dhyana mudra above the feet, tiny hair curls coveriung the head and the large ushnisha, surmounted by a round jewel. Several lacquer coatings, partly flaking, cover the engravings of the garment borders.
