A Meissen porcelain figure of Pantalone from a series of Commedia dell'Arte figures made for Duke Johann Adolf II of Saxony-Weißenfels

One hand is shown raised, the other hidden under his cloak. On a flat base with flower and foliage appliques. Wiped base, faint crossed swords mark on the reverse. With minor chips to the appliques. H 13.6 cm.
Model by Johann Joachim Kaendler, March 1744, and Peter Reinicke, produced and painted soon after
